Couples & Relationship Therapy

Relationship conflicts can be some of life's hardest, loneliest times. Couples and relationship therapy can help you get unstuck from entrenched patterns, like trading blame or feeling unappreciated and misunderstood. Couples sometimes seek therapy with me to address co-parenting challenges, to explore questions around identity and sexuality, and to get help making big decisions. Sometimes folks aren't sure what they want, but they know their relationship isn't going the way either party hoped. Other times the goal is simply to stop fighting.

I work with couples towards building a more mutually understanding, flexible, and cooperative dynamic. In a time and culture that can prioritize the individual at all costs, folks often find great relief and more overall life satisfaction in developing a deeper sense of connection and care for their partners and families. Couples therapy can remind us of how powerful it feels to give, share, and compromise - that it can be a gift, not a sacrifice.
